HOA CC&Rs

The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R) are contracts and provisions meant to preserve the the integrity of the neighborhood, protect property values and allow for enjoyment of the community.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can you fish in Lake Symington?

Yes, HOA Members are allowed to fish in Lake Symington with the proper licensing. This lake is not stocked.  We encourage catch and release to ensure the health of the lake and preserve our fishing for future generations. 

The lake is fed by Big Beef Creek, which is one of the 4 critically endangered salmon and steelhead waters in the Hood Canal. You will catch trout, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, channel cat, walleye and other game fish. Please follow selective gear rules- no barbed hooks. Please go to www.wdfw.wa.gov for a list of regulations  

What are the rules about reserving the park gazebo?

First, Make sure you are using the park that belongs to your Division (see lake division Map.pub.jpg.) The "Dam" Park is Division 1-4 and 6. The "Big" park at the south end is governed by Division 5 and has different rules.

There are no reservations allowed. The gazebo is first come first serve. There is a porta potty, but no hand wash station. Porta Potty is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  There are 2 trash cans that are emptied on Wednesdays. 

Well mannered pets are welcome on a leash, but please pick up after them. Baggies are provided. 

Most of the neighbors are pretty respectful of your space. If you have a party set up, please leave a place for others and expect neighbor kids to eat your cupcakes.. 

Can we boat on Lake Symington

No motorized boats are allowed on Lake Symington.

You may kayak, paddle board, pedel boat. Electric trolling motors are okay. No gas powered motors.

You are permitted to launch your boat at the beach area nearest the life vest stand. 

Life Vests are provided by donation from the Central Kitsap Fire District and your neighbors. Please return when you are done.

When are my Dues Due? Can I pay Online?

Dues are billed annually in May of each year. At this time you must pay by check and send it to:

Yearly Dues are $50.

There is a $5 Administrative Fee Fir Credit Card purchases. 

Avoid fee and pay by check atcthe address above. 

Not sure if your dues are current? Please email us using the form below.  All Mortgage/Title/Real Estate  companies also need to use this form for inquiries about sales and purchases. There may be a fee for these inquiries. 

Is there a Schedule of Events?

The General Membership Meeting and Vote is held annually the third Saturday in July. All HOA members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Annual Lake Symington Garage Sale is the First Saturday in June. There is no registration or fee to participate. This is NOT a community managed garage sale! You are responsible for your own set up and any other advertising. There are not set ups allowed in community spaces (park, side of road, ect).

Fourth of July Celebration- Down at the Lake! Battle of the Fireworks from each park! Residents just blowing their private stashes! Please pick up after yourself and don't catch anything on fire. 

Pop Up Events-  For neighbors by neighbors (volunteer)

  • Summertime Movies in the Park- please watch the Facebook events 
  • Parades for St Patricks Day, 4th of July, Easter and the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade- please watch the Facebook Events.  
  • Easter Egg Hunt- Volunteers needed for this event

Can I remove vegetation from the lake?

Lake Symington Community Club does have a "lake rake". Home owners can sign it out and use it at their own risk at their lakefront property. 

Landscapers are only contracted to take care of the beach, park, playground, dam and the marquee located on Holly and Redwing Entrance. They do not take care of any water vegetation.
